　　  馬蹄ロゴ失敗図

 　　　１９９９年に馬革の材料を使用したインディゴブルー(藍染)の革パンを製作を始め、使用するロゴを

　　　考えていた。馬革を使用することから欧州で幸福の象徴である馬蹄をモチーフとしてロゴを考えていた

      　が、いまいちしっくり来ない為、斜線を引いて失敗した図（馬蹄ロゴ失敗図参照）が丁度スニーカーの

　　　甲の部分を連想させた。そしてスニーカー型バッグのデザインが突然 思い浮かんだのだ。

　　　ウエストバッグの試作を繰り返し現在のsneagg leather-001 が完成した。

      また、スニッグのラインは、日本の文化　歌舞伎の化粧法　隈取り（クマドリ）から引用されている。

      隈取りには、情熱・勇気などの意がある。クマドリをモチーフにした理由は、世界に発信する意が

　　　込められている。また、日本人よりもむしろ外国人向けに考えられているからだ。（人は自国の文

      化よりも異国の文化に興味を示す為）そして製品は、完全手作りで注文を受けてから生産を行っ

      ている。今後、1970年代以降のスニーカーをモチーフとして様々なスニッグを発表していく。

      また、今後スニッグマニア“SneagGers”が現われることを期待する。

                                  the birth of SneagG

In 1999, when I started to produce horse leather jeans, I considered its logo.Because of using horse leather, I thought to design the logo with the image of a hoof.One of many failed drafts gave me another design image of a bag, which just looked like a instep with shoelace.SneagG leather-001 finally completed after repeated trial and error.The design on the side of SneagG comes from the way of Kabuki makeup, called "Kumadori", which shows passion and courage.Using such design means I am eager to introduce SneagG around the world.I'm expecting SneagG to be accepted more in abroad rather than in Japan.SneagG is absolutely handmade and starts to produce after the order.I will provide a various design of SneagG with referring to 1970's sneakers.I'm looking foward to showing lots of "SneagGers".
